China CNC Machine Tool Exhibition (CCMT), founded in Shanghai in 2000, has been successfully held for ten consecutive sessions. Seven sessions were held in Shanghai, one in Beijing and two in Nanjing. To facilitate the long- term development and offer a broader platform for exhibitors, CCMT has returned to its birthplace, Shanghai, from 2014 onwards, and will be permanently rooted here. Forming a South-to-North pattern together with the China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT) held in Beijing, the exhibition has been developed along with CIMT as its sister event.
Since 2016, the CCMT exhibition has been upgraded completely. It has comprehensively improved and upgraded by benchmarking itself against international first-class exhibition in the aspects of internationalization, specialization and informationization, and strived to continuously create an upgraded version of high-end international exhibition in order to win the trust of the world's top exhibitors and professional audiences with better service.
The 10th China CNC Machine Tool Exhibition (CCMT2018) was held in April 2018, attended by 1,233 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions. The exhibition covered an area of 120,000 square meters. Among them, the number and area of overseas enterprises accounted for 42.7%. Machine tool associations and trade promotion agencies from 10 countries and regions such as Germany, the United States, Switzerland, Italy and Korea organized groups to participate in the exhibition. The total number of visitors reached 126,000, a like-for-like increase of 19.7; the total number of visits reached 171,000, a like-for-like increase of 17.5%.
Since the first CCMT, Shanghai Expotrans has been its service provider for 18 years. In 2000, the exhibition was implemented for the first time in the newly established Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center. According to the new space of the new venue, Shanghai Expotrans innovatively formulated a set of effective procedures according to the physical space and layout of the venue to promote standardized and orderly exhibition installation and dismantling. This management thinking and mode has also become the "embryonic form" of project management and transportation management in the future, pioneering the industry and setting up the industry benchmark of standardized operation.
