Chongqing, as the sole province-level municipality and national Central City in the western region, and the economic center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, is a concentration area of tourism resources and tourist market in the central and western regions. Recent years saw rapid development of the tourism industry in Chongqing, and it is among the top three “Internet popular city" of the new front-line cities in China.
The Western China Tourism Industry Expo is mainly focused on tourism image display and also covers tourism industry exchange and cooperation.
